Your journey begins at our Canoe Hire HQ 1 mile from Bridgnorth the evening before your trip. We have ample parking, toilets and showers available.
After collecting your stores and undergoing a short brief you will move by vehicle to the start point, at Montford Bridge before setting up camp and practicing paddling for an hour to two.
During Day 1 you will paddle through Shrewsbury to Ismore Coppice Campsite, a fully serviced campsite 24 miles after starting.
During Day 2 you will pass through popular tourist site, Ironbridge, through Bridgnorth to our fully serviced campsite 25 miles after starting.
Relax around a campfire before retiring under the stars.
For Day 3 you will continue down the River Severn for 28 miles through and finishing at Bewdley.
The route for Day 4 involves wide open, slow moving water from Worcester to Tewkesbury. Previous paddlers believe this to be the toughest leg, especially if you face a strong headwind.
Day 5 is a short 7.5 mile ‘sprint’ to Ashleworth near Gloucester. Where you will grab a celebratory photo before moving back to the Canoe Focus HQ in Bridgnorth.
There are plenty of places to stop for toilet breaks, drinks, snacks and lunches.
